100 000 pilgrims will come to Israel for the Easter
According to the estimates of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, about 100,000 tourists and pilgrims will visit the Holy Land this year, during the Orthodox and Catholic Easter, which is celebrated next Sunday, and the Passover holiday, which will ends in the evening of April 26.
Thousands of Orthodox Christians from all over the world will take part in the Holy Fire Ceremony, which will begin at 13:00 in the church of the Holy Sepulchre at the Old City of Jerusalem on Saturday of the April 23. The ceremony will be broadcast around the world and on four large screens set up in the old town. To ensure the comfort of the faithful will be installed hundreds of chairs.
Departments of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in Jerusalem, Nazareth, Eilat and at the Ben Gurion Airport will work throughout the weekend by the schedule, providing information about tourist attractions and events in the country.
