Feast of the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor, in the Holy Land

On the night of August 19, on Mount Tabor Patriarch of Jerusalem and Palestine Theophilos accomplished the Divine Liturgy, he was joined by Metropolitan Timothy Vostrsky, Archbishop Konstantinsky Aristarchus, the clergy of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem Abbot Theophane, clergymen from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania that were on a pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

During the Patriarch’s liturgy the Gospel was read in four languages – Greek, Arabic, Russian and Romanian.
In the Trinity Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Mission, Divine Liturgy was committed by monk Anthony (Gutnick).
According to ancient tradition, after the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude Patriarch consecrated the fruits.
